Privacy Policy
This policy explains what CarPilot, operated by CarPilot Inc., collects and how we use it — for dealers who run their dealership on the platform and for the car shoppers who contact a dealer through a site built on it.
1. What we collect
Dealers: account details (name, email, dealership info), the content you add (vehicles, leads, deals, team), and usage/diagnostic data.
Car shoppers who submit an inquiry on a dealer’s website: the details they choose to provide (name, contact, and the vehicle they’re interested in) so the dealer can follow up. We collect only what the inquiry requires — shoppers do not pay through the platform.
2. How we use it
To provide and operate the Service, route leads to the right dealer, process each dealer’s subscription, keep accounts secure, provide support, and improve the product. We do not sell personal data, and we don’t rent your customer list back to you.
3. Whose data it is
A dealer’s customer, lead and deal data belongs to that dealership; we process it on their behalf as a service provider. Dealers can export their data at any time.
4. Sharing
We share data only with service providers that help us run the platform (e.g. hosting, subscription payment processing, email delivery), under agreements that limit their use to those purposes — or where required by law.
5. Security and retention
We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect data, and each dealership’s data is isolated from others. We keep data for as long as an account is active or as needed to provide the Service and meet legal obligations.
6. Your choices and rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, export or delete personal data. Dealers can manage most of this in-app; for anything else, contact us.
